FLASHBACK: Hillary's accent pandering

Tue Apr 15, 2008 at 11:56:39 PM PDT

You know, so much happens in an election cycle, that you forget crap like this. I don't know how I managed to forget.

Rasmussens kooky "small town" poll exposed.

Mon Apr 14, 2008 at 09:58:54 PM PDT

I saw some anti-Obama posts being made on various sites referencing a Rasmussen Reports poll saying "56% disagree with Obama small town comments!"

That seemed distressing so I took a look to see if there was any push polling questions, and while the questions seem fair, the answers seem quite contradictory:

Clinton attack ad runs for free on MSNBC.com

Mon Apr 14, 2008 at 07:00:08 PM PDT

I'm gonna keep this real short and sweet.

I think we all know that ads like this get shown on pundit shows essentially for 'free' so people watching have a reference for it as they discuss it.  However right now on MSNBC.com Hillary's ad is in their video player, in full, without any commentary, critique, any point of reference whatsoever.

My time among the Bitter

Sun Apr 13, 2008 at 02:35:55 PM PDT

I'm a freelance artist/web designer, and over the years since I left college while growing the business, I've faced times where I needed p/t and f/t jobs to make ends meet.

A few years ago I took a contract job in a refinery just outside of Toronto that was being permanently closed down, with only half a dozen keeping their jobs (being relocated across the country to Alberta) and the other several hundred left to fend for themselves. I spent 8 months with extremely bitter, angry people who for the most part were clueless about what they were facing.

Crisitunity and Lemonade (feat. photoshop fun)

Fri Apr 11, 2008 at 09:13:22 PM PDT

After several days of nothing to really worry about in regards to Obama, I wasn't happy seeing Obama have to deal with BS charges from the 100 million dollar Clinnochios and a man who married into big big money, of being an elitist. It seemed like the strange double standard had reared its head to try and stop Obama yet again.

Obama is treated as beng made of 'teflon' - but if he has that reputation, its because of his handling of potential trouble, and not because of any actual Obama bias. McCain on the other hand, gets by because things simply go unreported.  He has yet to actually handle any crisis. Obama though, seems to be a master of handling things that would've crippled Kerry.

Who is Barack Obama?

Let's recap our story:

Hillary's 3am Call of Duty (video)

Sat Mar 29, 2008 at 12:46:55 PM PDT

I don't know how many people watch Bill Maher. I do, being a full-time heathen and part-time misanthrope limits the number of media folk I can count among my own, and Bill is close enough.

Can't say his show is usually all that funny though. However last night, a potentially large viral video emerges. I won't spoil the ending.

Minister of Clinton's former church defends Wright + an atheist's anecdote

Tue Mar 25, 2008 at 06:35:36 PM PDT

Despite trying to divert attention from Snipergate, Rambo Rodham doesn't seem to have one important man in lock step:

My letter to Bill "The Ostrich" Kristol (with 3/25 update)

Sun Mar 23, 2008 at 09:22:34 PM PDT

Its just past 12am on the east coast and the update to the New York Times is freshly lighting up my LED screen, and within minutes I am choking on second hand bile.

Immediately I wrote the NY Times regarding the latest load of crap from Bill Kristol, whose idea of racial discussion is literally "Let's Not, and Say We Did"

Hillary has too much foreign policy bank to fall over Snipergate

Sat Mar 22, 2008 at 09:26:26 PM PDT

Okay, so maybe Hillary got caught red handed about her Bosnia trip, and maybe so far the media doesn't care..

you Obama Robots ever take a second to think about why? Same reason no one cared about McCains gaffe - because when it comes to foreign policy experience, Hillary has WAYYY to much bank to be taken down by something so small as this.

I mean, just because you debunked this one measly claim doesn't mean she didn't:

Hillary LIED about Bosnia trip (w/ video proof) - UPDATE 3/23!

Sat Mar 22, 2008 at 08:09:39 AM PDT

"I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base."
--Hillary Clinton, speech at George Washington University, March 17, 2008.

Heavy gunfire, no greeting ceremony? rushed to our cars? Yeah.... that's the ticket! It's looking more and more that Sinbad was right, and Hillary was at best - confused, misinformed... you could even say frantic, about something Sinbad was taking in stride.

CNN FINALLY puts Wright sermon in context

Fri Mar 21, 2008 at 08:33:31 AM PDT

Many people from the very beginning have said that some of the Wright quotes pulled for racist witch hunt leader Sean Hannity's program were completely taken out of context.

I'm sure you all know the 'chickens coming home to roost' clip by now, and maybe some of you have seen TUCC's response to it (includes first clip)

Sean Hannity, I challenge you to a lie detector test

Wed Mar 19, 2008 at 10:19:54 PM PDT

Dear Mr. Hannity

From behind my stupid pen name derived from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie of 1990, I write tonight with a challenge. It is almost, nay, certainly 100% likely you will never see any of these words, but the challenge must be made.

Stop blaming Clinton campaign for Wright

Mon Mar 17, 2008 at 11:50:07 AM PDT

I'm seeing many people trying to look at the Wright situation as some part of the 'kitchen sink' strategy.  As much as I would agree that Clinton surrogates have pushed race around, and many are in fact taking joy and joining the likes of Hannity in attacking Obama over this - Clinton's official campaign must be given the benefit of the doubt here, for multiple reasons.

The "strikers" can kiss my pale Canadian ass

Sat Mar 15, 2008 at 10:29:43 PM PDT

I used to play video games with my sister. She's very competitive and I respected her for that, and we'd throw down at Cool Boarders 2 for the PS1 for hours at a time.  It was all well and good, until I started winning races too many times in a row.  She could trash talk with the best of them, but if I gave it back to her while on a streak of my own, she'd throw down her controller, flip me the bird, and tear out of the room angry.

That's the "strikers".

"abusive?" comments, Allegre?
Hillary supporters are in the minority at DKos to be sure, and having your opinion piled upon may not be fun, but did they consider the reasons they are in the minority?

The shock is wearing off

Fri Mar 14, 2008 at 10:24:21 PM PDT

How many people were upset by the Wright video because of the content itself and itself alone?
How many people were upset by the Wright video more because of the obvious short term disaster it can and will wreak?

How many people were delighted by the Wright video because of the obvious short term disaster it can and will wreak. Ms. Marsh, are you there?

I think if you're a member of this site, you already knew a few things about Mr. Wright and saw something like this coming eventually. Well, you at least should have - its always been there. Perhaps you took comfort knowing Obama already repudiated those comments, but of course nothing could prepare you for a cable news onslaught of hypocrisy which has left McCain's pastor unscathed, which has allowed people like John Hagee and Pat Robertson to succeed on the airwaves for decades.

Pat Buchanan on MSNBC: "Shut Up!" (w/video)

Wed Mar 12, 2008 at 10:12:41 PM PDT

I was a little disturbed watching Buchanan and Matthews basically agree with Ferraro last night and defend her, changing the context. But after seeing Olbermann's smackdown, this was a little surprising:
